  Kingdom Hall "sale" - new light!

  in a town called stevenston on the west coast of scotland, the kingdom hall was closed down approximately 6 months ago and the congregation (named kilbirnie) was assigned to use the kingdom hall of the nearby irvine congregation.. according to an ldc source at mill hill, the kilbirnie kh is scheduled for a refurbishment!

  the org boots out the congregation and leaves their kh redundant for 6 months?????????

  Pepperrheart - with all the drastic cuts in literature production costs, Bethel closures, D.O./C.O./Special Pioneer redundancies, the mugging of every congregation on planet earth for their K.H.'s & the bulk of their bank balances and future incomes - as well as selling off many K.H.'s, how could you possibly think that the org is not short of money? :)

  so what if some members of the governing body have been accused of molesting a child and used the 2 witness rule to silence a accusation?

  so could it be that because some high up watchtower corporation person/persons has clung to the rule because it save's his corporate ass.

  If a name/s from the present/past hierarchy is buried in the org's database of child-rapists, then that would readily explain the WTBTS's downright refusal to reveal it to the courts/authorities.

  The castle in the air would crumble for a lot of J.W.'s if they found out their "faithful slave" shielded child-predators.

  long story short, we have not seen hubbys non identical twin nephews (jeremey and jerome) since we gave the middle finger to the jw's 7 or 8 years ago.

  we last saw our nephews when they were 9 or 10ish.

  i studied biology at uni and specialised in animal biology (wolf behaviour) but i've always liked natural history.. even if i never went to uni, i'd still be amazed by nature and i'd still watch nature programs on tv.. i'd like start a thread where posters can post nature clips that are in some way amazing.. the vid below shows wild wolves in the canadian arctic encountering humans for the first time.. these wolves haven't been exterminated by human hunters and therefore haven't learnt to fear humans.

  result: wild wolves approach human strangers almost like dogs.

  my father died a couple of months ago.

  he'd been ill for some time and had many health scares and heart troubles over the years but always managed to keep on going.

  then one time he didn't.. i'm glad i got to know him again and spend some more time with him after so many years missed because of the wts but those years will always be lost forever.

  Simon, the hatred - and I don't use the word lightly - the hatred you've received is fundamental, indoctrinated, and mandatory for all JW's who have friends or relatives who ever dare to question/doubt/reject the self-appointed "slave."

  I totally empathise with your situation. My two J.W. siblings got together and decided that because I'd shared 100% truths with them, e.g. the org's involvement with the OSCE, & how much money was pouring in from the HQ sale. The straw which broke the camel's back was telling them about the org's use of a private company to provide backing music for a convention video. I then received a 'phone call from one, telling me never to contact them again for any reason, because I was saying negative things about the organization. Unbelievable! Truth is truth - whether you consider it negative or positive.

  If they waken up I'll gladly welcome them back, but until then, we are dead to each other.

  I really, really, hope that this film is 100% accurate in every aspect, so that it cannot be dismissed as "media lies" by JW's - despite the fact that they'll be fearful of watching it.

  You can be sure that trolley-zombies will be quizzed about it.
